As usual, every year MATTA fair is something that I can't miss it. I love travelling and travel make me to think wiser. From 4th to 6th September 2015, you can drop by PWTC for the latest travel promotion.

Over 100,000 people are expected to attend over the 3 days so crowds and long queues are certain. You can pre-buy your entrance tickets online to avoid the queues and save yourself some time. For more information visit the offical site of the MATTA fair HERE!

Entry fee:
RM4 per person
Children under 12 years old being free.

Recently, Malaysia introduce Goods and Services Tax (GST) in April and it seems that give an impact to tourism industry. Just look at the currency exchange. I went to Singapore last week for a business trip and I can feel the impact of currency exchange. My mom is Singaporean and usually the currency rates is between 2.4-2.7 and nowadays, it's simply increase to 3.0

However, look at the positive side (for some reason you can't do anything with our Malaysia currency rate) people choose to travel inside Malaysia instead of buying overseas trips. There's still have a lot of interesting place in Malaysia and there have a lot of hidden gems that you should explore.

For the first time, the two biggest events in the Malaysian tourism industry has been combined. The World Islamic Tourism Mart (WITM) and the Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (MATTA) Fair will be held during the same 3 days at PWTC. This event is being touted as the number 1 travel fair in Malaysia. The exhibition will occupy almost 28,000sqm and take up 4 main halls: Hall 1, 2, 3 & 4. There is expected to be over 1,250 booths and over 200 exhibitors, with travel agents accounting for about 750 of those booths. The other booths will be taken by National Tourism Organisations and national airlines. Malaysia Airlines and Firefly will take up the whole Hall 1 mezzanine alone. Ministry of Indonesia, the official sponsor of the WITM will take up 30 booths in Hall 2.

Hall 1 is the largest hall and is nearby to Hall 2. Both halls sell international tour packages, cruise packages and flights. In the mezzanine, Malaysia Airlines and Firefly will be offering their best airline discounts and cheap flights. All types of tour offers will be available during the 3 days.

Hall 3, which is the first hall you will walk through if you enter from the main building, is the domestic hall. As usual this hall is dominated by Tourism Malaysia with the rest of the hall being filled with local hotels and travel agents offering Malaysian packages.

Hall 4 will mainly house the National Tourism Organisations with Japan, Taiwan, Korea and Turkey Tourism taking the most booths.

The only state in Malaysia that I haven't been to is Sabah. Anyone want sponsor my trip to Sabah? I really appreciate hahaha

Do you know that Legoland is having new attraction? I was invited to witness their new attraction during their official launch last month. More info: HERE!
