The opening of the two new stores – the seventh and eighth brand stores to open in this region – follows in the footsteps of the brand’s flagship store in Suria KLCC, which opened in January, through its exclusive distributor, Triple Private Limited (Triple). The store in Pavilion opens to public today (6th April l2015) while the store at Mid Valley will open on 21st April 2015. The addition of these two new retail stores is indicative of the brand’s strong momentum of growth in Malaysia and the South East Asian region, sealing its position as the definitive sports apparel brand for athletes. 

Located on the fifth floor, the new store in Pavilion KL boasts a retail space of 3,000 square feet and is the largest Under Armour store in Malaysia and South East Asia. Meanwhile, the store in Mid Valley spans across 2,600 square feet of space.

Both the stores carry a provocative experiential concept, allowing a customer to fully experience what it means to be an athlete and feel the spirit of the Under Armour brand as soon as they step in. 

Offering a vast range of sporting apparel for both men and women, the store features the newest apparel technology such as HeatGear® Sonic, HeatGear® Flyweight, Coldblack®, UA Tech™, and the Compression range. The menswear include men’s training, baselayers, combine training, running, golf and footwear. In the women’s range, the brand carries training, running, UA’s studio line, UA studio and UA StudioLux® and the award-winning Armour Bra powered by Under Armour. 

Not only that, as part of their opening store promotions, customers who purchase above RM300 in a single receipt will be entitled to sign up for a one-year free membership where they will be able to get a 10% discount on all normal-priced merchandise. Additionally, customers who spend RM250 will get a limited edition Under Armour ID-Tag. This ID-Tag is limited to one unit per customer, and is available while stocks last.

Under Armour has partnered with elite and popular Malaysian athletes including Kit Mah, Linora Low, Hansen Lee, professional golfers Nicholas Fung and Airil Rizman Zahari, fitness model and body builder Nana Al Haleq and Mixed Martial Arts athlete, Peter Davis. 

Under Armour’s roster of global athletes includes the most decorated Olympian of all time, Michael Phelps, American Ballet Theatre soloist Misty Copeland, recently signed 2013 Wimbledon Champion Andy Murray, and record-breaking American skier Lindsey Vonn. The Brand is also technical partners and kit manufacturers for Tottenham Hotspur of the Barclays Premiere League.
