Some people incorporate corruption in their lives. Even in business line, there are corruptions going around, such as during bidding with the tender. Since I've always told myself and my staff that we can stop corruption and I totally do not like corruption, I'm trying my best to avoid it, even though sometimes I lose the tender/project or suffer some loss. I believe that GOD is the one who gave me whatever I have right now and He can take back everything whenever he wants.
This is what happened to me last night. I just got back from "yumcha" session with friends at Grafa SS15 and there was this "Penguin" stopping me in Puchong. I admit it was my fault because I did not stop when the traffic light turned red. This is my 4th time summons since January 2013, from speeding to running the red light (only happens late at night when there are no people / cars on the road).
The "Penguin" tried to negotiate with me instead of advising me or giving me the summon. Since I was too tired, I told them to give me the summon but they still continued negotiating with me. I faced the same thing previously, and I just told them I have sinned enough with GOD and I don't want to add on some more. Instead of getting the normal RM200 summon, I got the RM300 summon because they said that "I'm rude". I believe that if I gave them "duit kopi", the corruption in Malaysia will never end.
It's true that I have lost RM300 that night but at least I have done the right thing. Sometimes, money is not everything. I do have some friends who are "Penguin" but most of them are good guys. They want to protect the rights and never adopt the corruption culture. Well, I do not hate government or even government servant but I just hate a bad government and bad government servants.
Stop corruption for a better country!
